This year we cannot fix job interviews,  but above all, we are unable to give an answer on the starting date of the work. We are in total chaos and we cannot give answers or certainties to those who will have to work with us.
As at the moment we receive  cancellations not so much for the season,  but most of all for April and May, we cannot understand how much staff we should have to recruite. We don’t know, nor can we know, if the season will fully recover. We will probably start with a a minum staff  and then eventually will recruite more people if reservations start arriving 

Perhaps this summer there will be the fear of traveling, especially to and from abroad as Italy is now probably facing its peak of infections and then, logically speaking, it will go down. For the rest of Europe we will instead see. Perhaps the Italians will trust us more and will be more afraid to go abroad. And the foreign tourists? In this chaotic situation, we Hotel Torino, 3-star hotel in Jesolo now allow you to book without having to pay a deposit  before the situation is solved and we all feel safe. In light of the new tourism we have expanded the choice of savory dishes with salami that try to meet the tastes of everybody going well beyond the usual salami, ham and cheese that are the  ‘must be’. In addition to salami and ham, we have given space to  mortadella, turkey, beef for those who want to change, for those who prefer light food,  Always attentive to the Tourist requests we have incorporated in our buffet raw vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes, much appreciated by a slice of foreign tourists who love a concept of breakfast-brunch as they often spend all thei day on the beach or on excursions.
The sweet choice of our breakfast  has become more appetizing  with  more tasty and varied grains , but also with a wider selection of brioches that also include brioches for celiacs, or the vegan line nuts and apples, as well as the classic tastes that anyway they are the most appreciated. Among plum cakes, pies, donuts, brioches, krapfen, waffles, biscuits and so on and so forth, the sweet corner of our breakfast has acquired an important thickness, without forgetting the possibility of waffles added in  last year. If one stops, one is lost, and then, after giving even more choice in varieties of milk, for  next year we are already asking questions and therefore, sifting through the web, we  have read a list of what you should have in a buffet worthy of a mid-range b & b . We have realised that Hotel Torino does not seem to be so far from good , helathy, breakfast standard

Hotel Torino Carnival pancakes: Jesolo Hotel offering full board

We are in carnival flavor and for us of Hotel Torino, offering full board in Jesolo, it is essential to share some of the recipes of carnival sweets, according to the advice of our Chef Gigi.
The Veneto, and more than all  Venice, are the Carnival homelands, and,therefore, they are  one of the Lands which bake more Carnival cakes than any other Country , as in the break between one mask and the other,between a carnival float  and the other, it is perfect to stop at a bakery for a hot tea, mulled wine and a  carnival pancake.
We want to honor the classic Venetian pancake,called in Italian frittella,  because today  the pancakes are also and above all filled up with cream, chocolate, zabaglione, but the origin is the Venetian pancake, the one with raisins and often with pine nuts. ‘Ea friotoea’,it is the way it is called in Venice, and it is  the undisputed Carnival sweet and the most important sweet during the Serenissima Republicwhen it was cooked by the  ‘fritoleri’ in wooden stalls, and the ‘fritoleri’ who were specialized in cooking frittelle were so loved and important to arrive joining in  a corporation or association.
The frittelle origins date back even to the fourteenth century, although there is  also a Renaissance recipe. Think that the most serious and weel known bakeries and pastries  in Venice, but also in Jesolo or in the mainland in general, prepare the frittelle only and exclusivelyin  Carnival!We asked our Chef his recipe and, although the hotel is closed, we asked him to cook some frittelle for us . Here is his recipe:
Ingredients to get about 25 large pancakes

1 whole egg ( not cold)
160 grams of raisins and pine nuts
 50 grams of sugar
40 grams of butter outside temperature, and soft
17 Grams of yeast
 The peel of a lemon
 If you want to add to the mix a dash of brandy or rum to give that extra flavor,no problem, dare ! 


Warm  the yeast in a few tablespoons of warm milk and pour in the remaining milk,prepare the butter in pieces.
Mix flour, eggs and grated lemon peel and create a pyramid with a central hole where you are going to pour the yeast, the milk, the egg and the chopped butter, brandy or rum if you want, and knead until dough is smooth, according to our Chef the dough should be a little bit sticky.
Unite raisins and pine nuts and knead again for a little bit down to give uniformity to the whole.
Pour into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and put it in the  turned off oven for an hour even with poor light on to create a kind some warmth
And now it’s time to fry:We at the hotel we use pallottolliere ice cream to create precise size balls, but nothing prohibits you to use your hands, pour in the oil to 160 170 degrees and fry them so they are quite dark and beautiful round
Once fried, place them on paper towels and let them roll on the joyous granulated sugar.Some use the powdered sugar, but we like the oldest recipe that requires the caster sugar

A sweet, a tradition, a long history of ‘fritoleri’ who with their white apron and riddled jar to throw sugar on pancakes, takes us back in time, in the Serenissima which, together with persiung power and money, did its best to seek pleasure  and what more pleasant than one  ‘fritoea’? Only two ‘fritoe’!

Seven good reasons to choose Jesolo at Carnival time

You may wonder why I recommend the carnival in Jesolo, as the homelands of  carnival are Venice, or Viareggio or Rio. Well, I’m not crazy, I  am just  suggesting you an interesting alternative  and a proposal for a different and varied weekend.• Jesolo, no doubt, can offer you very cheap  accomodations in hotels if compared to Venice. The lagoon city shoots up in the carnival weekends , because it is a period of high season and the demands of accomodations are enormous. So, why  do not consider to get close to Venice without spending  a fortune?• Jesolo is a very convenient starting point to reach Venice, as between bus and ferry it takes about 45 minutes to  Saint Mark Square where you can start your tour in the magical Venice carnival• Jesolo , in winte time,  is not a city of ghosts, but  it is a  living city  ready to welcome you with shops, shopping centers, restaurants, pubs, and many of the nightclubs that animate the summer nightlife are also open in winter, or in the winter weekends. Free wifi in Jesolo hotel: at Hotel Torino you can, that is why!

No doubt that Hotel Torino in Jesolo is not perfect, but, for sure, we have always worked to keep pace with the times and even, sometimes, to anticipate them, as in the services offered to those who choose us. Among the services offered at no additional cost, there is the free wi fi throughout the hotel that we decided to offer to our guests several years ago, as far back as 2011, if we  remember correctly.
We travel  as our guests, and travelling, we have realized  how many hotels, both in Italy and abroad, do not offer this service for free, but, in 2017, you can not be deaf to the invasive need , now even children, to connect to the network especially when you are abroad. If you look at a customer when entering the hotel, one of the first things he does is to  look for a wi fi signal and its password. 
Nowadays, we live  connected 24 hours a day, it is possible to believe that we do not have this need on vacation? Indeed, on vacation perhaps this need is felt even more alive to check availability, book services, send post photos, work or respond to work emails, stay connected with family and friends .Therefore, the impossibility  to access the network for free  becomes a real primary yardstick, since our life lives connected. In the last years, almost all the hotels in Jesolo provide free bicycles to their guests. Hotel Torino  too . I remember that we started  some years ago with  some bicycles without  any written and also a bit rickety, but, realizing that our guests loved bycicles, the following season  we immediately provided with  far more fashion bicycles, safer and with our writing on them , proud to be able to give an extra service free of charge to those who choose us. And since last summer, aware that we are a family hotel, we also bought children seats to attach to bicycles.
I remember the first time I helped a client to attack the seat, we laughed like two crazy women, both in serious trouble. I, who apologized saying that my difficulties were  justified because I have no  children and the guest  struggling  with the straps. It was an enterprise, but to see her leaving the hotel by bicycle  with the baby, it was a great joy and after a first very careful monitoring, I even filmed them!
The city of Jesolo itself, created the bike sharing, offering,ree of charge, both  for residents and tourists, about 120 bicycles in exchange for an identity card , given back on returning the bicycle. Thanks to our central position on Via Bafile, Hotel Torino , our guests have three, not one, very closed stations where they can pick up the bicycles : Piazza Trento, Piazza Internazionale  and Piazza Aurora.

My wonderful experience at the Hotel Torino began about 10 years ago. The world of work was new to me and at  Hotel Torino I learned to deal with it, living away  from home, sharing all my days, my room, my life for three months with my collegues .It has  been difficult but at the same time interesting, and  Hotel Torino was a  turning point for my life.
I learned the technical abilities to work at the bar : I learned to make my first coffee, my first spritz, my first cocktails, my  ice cream sundaes, but mostly I learned to relate to customers and colleagues .I remember the first time I did a Pina Colada: I left the shaker a little opened and all the cocktail  spilled on me. I smelt of  coconut and pineapple  !! What a laugh! When you work you must learn to be practical, to manage inventory, the galley, to do things quickly, because in summer season, the in a seaside resort, the speed reigns supreme.
Working in a seasonal business and starting very  young, you also have to learn to manage your freedom: you are far away from home, from  your parents,  you live alone and work in a Jesolo full of premises, leisure and entertainments. You would like to go out every night to have fun, to meet people, to socialize, but, you realize very quickly that if you give in to temptation every night , your  work and colleagues will be affected: Working  far from home  can really help you in your  growth , and to manage your freedom.

I have known  many people in the course of these 10 years:   I lost some of them, others  are still my friends. These people, some making me angry, other  giving me healthy relationships, have made a better and stronger Klaudja.  It is not easy to work during the summer season, because it requires a spirit of sacrifice, patience and above all love for what you do. I love to do the bartender, but last year I had the opportunity also  to work as a waitress  in the  hotel’s restaurant. As the hotel offers  full board in its restaurant , it  lives an independent life from the pizzeria.
So, for anothe time, Hotel Torino has given me the chance to get back into play, to learn something different. To wrok at  the bar is very different from the waitress work in the hotel restaurant, both as work shifts, which as skills and services. The thing that has impressed me is that many customers wanted me to serve them until the end of their holiday. And I realized that the hotel, especially a  hotel in Jesolo Lido, focuses   to establish a friendly relationship with the customer. It was really nice because, after finishing my experience in the hotel restaurant ,  the customers went down to the bar to drink coffee and to greet me. It’s nice to create  so many genuine relationships . Every year when i start my job,  I always ask of historical customers. They themselves are part of the “Hotel Torino Family.” I remember even as they prefer their coffee.Hotel Torino  is a second Home for me and part of me wherever I will work in the future,
