The Jesolo Civic Library will host the bibliographic exhibition "Inclusiva," dedicated to high-accessibility books, from Saturday, November 30, to Tuesday, December 10, 2024. This traveling exhibition, organized by the "Federico Talami" Civic Library of Abano Terme in collaboration with "Leggere per Leggere," explores the theme of accessible and inclusive reading. Visitors can explore a selection of tactile books, wordless books, volumes with symbols, texts in Italian Sign Language with visual markers, high-accessibility books, ebooks, foreign-language texts, and works addressing the topic of disability. An educational network to grow together
An educational community to grow together is a project organised by the Educational Coordination Table, aimed at parents, teachers and educational figures. The initiative includes a public meeting of a pedagogical nature, followed by thematic focus groups. Calendar: Public meeting Monday 11 November at 8.30 p.m. at the Vivaldi Theatre Digital children and adolescents, with Dr. Giuseppe Lavenia, psychotherapist. The meeting addresses the digital well-being of young people, analysing how the excessive use of smartphones and social media can affect behaviour, social relations and emotional development. Strategies to promote a healthier use of new technologies will be proposed. Focus groups Topic: Digital Awareness, with Leandro Botter, computer scientist. The meetings will be held at the Patronato della Parrocchia Santi Liberale e Mauro, Piazza Milano. The B.Y.C. Youth Centre inaugurates the Life in Progress desk, a monthly orientation and meeting service for young people to take stock of their skills and explore local opportunities. Exhibition on the Stone Nativity
From Saturday, December 7, 2024, to Sunday, January 19, 2025, Piazza Milano will host an original Stone Nativity, created with handmade statues by Jesolo sculptor Cav. Sergio Dalla Mora. The artist, with over fifty years of experience in marble sculpture, has also worked with other materials such as plaster, bronze, wood, and sand. Despite not having followed an academic or artistic path, his sculpture stands out for its lack of trends, and critics believe the success of his style comes from his independence from any traditional training. A passion for sculpture since childhood, Dalla Mora has always found time to dedicate to his art. It was only in adulthood that he met international art critic Paolo Rizzi, who encouraged him to participate in the most important exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Since then, his career has continued to rise successfully.

Starting from December 14, 2024, the Jesolo Civic Library is offering a beginner chess course with 6 lessons, each lasting 1.5 hours. The lessons will take place from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on December 14, 21, January 11, 18, 25, and February 1. The course covers the basic rules, openings, middlegame, endgames, use of the chess clock, tournament preparation, and connections to computer science. € 50.00 for registration, with a maximum of 6 participants.

The Discovery of the Sun
From December 7, 2024, to March 2, 2025, the Jmuseo in Jesolo hosts the exhibition The Rediscovery of the Sun: Illustration of the Late 20th Century in Sarmede, celebrating the legacy of Štěpán Zavřel, a Czech artist who transformed Sarmede into an international center for children's illustration. The exhibition presents 70 works divided into five sections, all connected by a respectful and honest view of childhood. The display reflects the shared thoughts of illustrators on how the illustrated book defends children's rights, continuing the work initiated with the foundation of the International Children's Illustration Exhibition in 1983 and the School in 1988.
Photographic exhibition
From December 7, 2024, to March 2, 2025, the Jmuseo in Jesolo hosts the photographic exhibition La Città delle Feste by Francesco Finotto. The exhibition explores the enigmatic atmosphere of the coastal cities of the Northeast, such as Jesolo, Caorle, and Bibione, during winter nights. The long-exposure photographs capture landscapes suspended between light and shadow, stability and movement, telling the ever-changing essence of the sea and sky. The deserted hotels and residences transform into protagonists of a silent dialogue with the sea, evoking a boundary between the external world and the infinite inner one. A visual journey that invites reflection between reality and introspection.
